Helping athletes build mind and body resilience in sport and in life.
About the Program
Mind Body Athletes is designed to help young athletes play stronger, recover faster, and handle pressure with confidence. Our signature A.C.T.I.V.E. series blends yoga, mindfulness, and sports performance strategies in a way that athletes actually enjoy. Through this program, athletes learn practical tools for in-game focus, bouncing back after mistakes, and keeping perspective when the pressure rises.
The program is rooted in the science of how the brain develops and learns. Simply put: athletes can't perform at their best when their minds are overwhelmed or stressed. That's why we start by helping athletes regulate their bodies through movement, breath, and rhythm. Once calm and centered, athletes are better able to focus, reflect, and build lasting mental skills they can use in both sports and life.
Yoga isn't just stretching, it's strength, mobility, flexibility, and injury prevention. Paired with mindset training, it also helps athletes calm nerves, improve concentration, and build resilience. Sessions combine movement, breathing, reflection, and team bonding — giving athletes both physical and mental skills they can carry onto the field and into everyday life.
At the heart of Mind Body Athletes is one simple goal: to give athletes a "side door" entry point into taking care of their mental health, while enhancing their athletic performance and preparing them for the transitions of life beyond sports.

About Allie Chapman
Allie Chapman, MSW, is the founder and program director of Mind Body Athletes. A former competitive basketball player, Allie knows the highs and lows of being recruited, stepping away from the game, and finding identity beyond sports. Now a parent of six athletes across multiple sports, she has seen firsthand the pressures today's youth athletes face — and the need for tools that support both performance and well-being.
To design Mind Body Athletes, Allie combined her unique experiences as an athlete and parent with her professional training. She is a certified yoga instructor, holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California, advanced certification in Sports Social Work from the University of Michigan, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction training from UCSD's Center for Mindfulness. She also has additional training in trauma-informed care and applies evidence-based practices in ways that are accessible to athletes, coaches, and teams.
While Allie holds an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW) license in California, she does not function in a therapeutic role within Mind Body Athletes. Instead, she works solely as a coach, educator, and trainer — equipping athletes with tools that enhance performance, build resilience, and prepare them for life beyond the game.
